Tideway Returner Programme
Tideway Returner Programme
The Tideway Returner Programme is now closed. Thank you for your interest.
Thames Tideway Tunnel is launching the Tideway Returner Programme for talented professionals who want to restart their careers after an extended career break. Based in London at our Paddington offices, we are offering a paid 12-week internship starting on 13th April 2015 for people who have been out of the workforce for 2 years or more.
What are we offering?
You will work on significant assignments based on your skills, experience and interests. We have up to six opportunities available in the areas of: Business Planning, Legal, Stakeholder Engagement, Operations Management, Asset Management and Financial Modelling.
We recognise your need to get back up to speed after a lengthy break, so throughout the programme you will receive coaching support from Women Returners, the experts in helping professional women to re-launch their careers; you will also be paired with an internal mentor.
At the end of the programme you will be ideally placed to apply for permanent or interim roles in the organisation.
Who are we?
The River Thames is at the heart of London but in recent years, it has often been overlooked. The Thames Tideway Tunnel project wants to help change all that, and we want you to be part of our ambition to breathe life back in to our river. This is not just an engineering project, it’s about building a London that is fit for your children, and even your great, great, grandchildren. Every year, millions of tonnes of pollution spills from sewerage discharge gates along the tidal river embankment, and that simply has to stop. Join us to help clean up London’s river together.
We are committed to gender equality and are open to flexible working across the organisation.
Who are we looking for?
Successful candidates will have had a 2+ year career break from the workforce and will have a successful track record in one of the following disciplines:
Finance & Legal – Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Business Planning, Financial Modelling, Management Consultancy, Commercial or Property law
Technical – Civil Engineering, Programme/Project Management, Architecture, Environmental Management, Operations Management
External Affairs – Public Relations, Stakeholder Management
You will need to have a passion for the project and the legacy we will leave for London, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and enjoy using your expertise to solve problems.
